After several years of working with CyberSense and their manuscript management system, FastTrack, the Editor and EAB made the decision to seek out a mangaement system that would allow us greater functionality, flexibility, and analytics. After several months of searching, we have decided to move the journal to the Scholastica system. Scholastica is a fantastic company, they have welcomed us and been great to work with and we’re looking very forward to being in the “Scholastica Family”.
What does this mean for you? As a reviewer, a couple things will change. First, the system will look and function a bit differently, but not egregiously so. We’ll all be learning the new system together, but in the weeks we’ve been getting familiar, I can tell you, you will figure it out right away. Next, the rubric will look a bit different. We are moving to a centralized rubric instead of multiple rubrics for our many manuscript types. As an author, a new, more streamlined submission process and a new way to respond to reviewer comments on both accepted manuscripts and revise and resubmit manuscripts. As a reader, nothing will change, we will continue to welcome you here, to our website.
As always, we’re here to answer questions about the new process! We look forward to seeing your submissions on our new SCHOLASTIC platform!
