The Journal of Leadership Education would like to extend a warm welcome to Drs. David Rosch and Carly Speranza as they begin terms on the Journal's Editorial Advisory Board.
Dr. Rosch is on the faculty at the University of Illinois in the Agricultural Education program. Dave brings a breadth of experience as an author, reviewer, and consumer of academic journals. He is an accomplished scholar publishing in several peer reviewed journals, authoring or co-authoring book chapters, and editing an upcoming volume of a New Directions issue. In addition to his scholarship, Dave is an accomplished teacher serving as instructor for both graduate and undergraduate courses, and as the Agricultural Education graduate program coordinator. Dr. Rosch has been recognized by his peers for outstanding contributions to the field of leadership education, including receiving the Inaugural Distinguished Scholar Award from the Association of Leadership Educators. Dave holds a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University, an MS in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University, and his Doctorate in Higher Postsecondary Education from Syracuse University.
Dr. Speranza is on faculty at the National Intelligence University where she also serves as graduate program coordinator for the Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence. She is a Lieutenant Colonel in U.S. Air Force where she has served on active-duty as an Intelligence Officer for over eighteen years. Over the course of her career, she has deployed across the globe seven times, to include South America, the Middle East, Europe, and Korea in support of multiple war and crises intelligence operations. As a career intelligence officer, she has served on multiple 4-star staffs, supported U.S. Presidential overseas missions as the Andrews Air Force Base Senior Intelligence Officer, served as an Intelligence Squadron Director of Operations, and most recently was the Chief of Targets for the Korean Peninsula under the U.S. Forces Korea J2 in Seoul, Korea. She holds a BA in Public Relations from The University of Akron, an MS in International Relations from Troy State University, an MS in Strategic Intelligence from National Intelligence University, and a Doctorate of Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies from Creighton University.
Drs. Adrian Popa, Kathy Hollywood and Marilyn Bugenhagen will be continuing in their two and three year EMB terms respectively. Kathy currently serves as a faculty member in the Leadership and Professional Studies Program at Concordia University Chicago. Marilyn is a faculty member working for the Federal Executive Institute, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where she educates federal executives (our civilian governmental leaders) in leadership and organizational behavior. Adrian, an associate professor and Chair of the Department of Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University, will be continuing in the role of chair.
